1.Teddy Duchamp
Teddy is a troubled boy. He is a bit eccentric and likes thrills, like dodging a train. Although his father never treated him well, he still love his father.Teddy is a bit crazy but he have a good heart.
2.Chris Chamber
He takes over the leader role. He is a tough kid, mainly because of his background and family history. He comes from a family of criminals and drunks. He wants to do better for himself and actually has ambitions. He doesn't trust adults, because of his father and older brother who beat him up. Chris is, despite of his tough act, a good kid with the best intentions.

3.Gordie LachanceGordie is the sensitive boy in the group, but also the one with the best looking future due to his writing talent. His parents, especially Gordie's father, doesn't really care much for him or his storytelling. Gordie is a loyal friend, he's best friends with Chris. He's is the most mature one of the foursome.
4.Vern Tessio
is one of the 4 kids who embark on a journey to find the missing dead body of a kid named Ray Brower. Vern is the short fat kid of the group. He is often picked on by Teddy though seem to remain closest throughout the movie. His character is known to be the only boy out of his other 3 friends who does not have a crying scene throughout the film. He has a brother, Billy, who is a part of Ace's (bully) gang.
